NCAT Attends Human Trafficking Awareness Conference

We recently attended the Community Conversations with CareSource conference “Addressing Human Trafficking in Toledo.”

As mobility providers in Seneca, Crawford, and Huron counties, our drivers and passengers are often the eyes and ears of a community. It’s important for us to learn about this issue and find ways we can help our community.

According to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, there were nearly 300 Ohio cases identified in 2021. Those cases led to more than 400 victims of human trafficking in the state. NCAT is committed to helping solve this complex issue, and we were grateful for the opportunity to attend the conference.

We were able to hear from local experts, law enforcement, front-line workers, and health care professionals about warning signs, what to do if we suspect human trafficking, and more.
