Free Rides for Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a time for all of us to reflect and remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country.

In honor of these brave men and women, we are offering free in-county rides on Friday, May 24, and are recognizing local community members who served our country. In Seneca County, this day will be known as Ray Day in honor of Ray Matthews, who served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was a volunteer driver for NCAT and sat on our board of directors. In Crawford County, it will be Craig Day in honor of Craig Rarick, who was one of the first drivers for NCAT in Crawford County. He was a social study and history teacher for more than 30 years and taught the importance of our military and their service to our country. In Huron County, it will be Reggie Day in honor of Reginald “Reggie” Jackson, who served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Reggie joined the NCAT team in January and was a driver for Huron County Transit from 2005-2023.

We hope you take advantage of this offer. As a reminder, you will still need to schedule your ride at least 48 hours in advance.
